Involving children and young people in our research
Dr. Karen McConnell and Dr. Jenny Fortune were delighted to attend a recent Workshop on Co-Designing a Resource for Ethical Collaboration with Children and Young People in Research hosted by Tusla, Barretstown, the PPI Ignite Network DCU, and the PPI Ignite Network UCD. The workshop provided a unique opportunity for researchers and professionals in youth-focused Patient and Public Involvement to come together. During the workshop, we had the opportunity to hear the experiences of young people and research leaders in the field gaining valuable insights into their perspectives. We look forward to applying the lessons we learned in this workshop to optimise how we include children and young people in our research.
