Dr Colm Daly awarded HRB fellowship for CP-Age
Congratulations to Dr Colm Daly, Principal Investigator in the CP-Life Research Centre, who was awarded a Clinician Scientist Fellowship from the HRB. The Clinician Scientist Fellowships support the career development of outstanding researchers with a clinical background who wish to further enhance their research experience while remaining embedded in the health service. Dr Daly is a physiotherapist with a dual clinical-researcher role between RCSI and the National Centre for Movement Analysis at the Central Remedial Clinic.
His project, CP-Age (Cerebral Palsy – the Adolescent Growth Evaluation study) will measure walking-related function in children with CP before, during and after their teenage growth spurt to create a set of recommendations aimed at improving the outcomes of children with CP as they go through the adolescent growth spurt.
